Cody Kessler – USC
If you can squeeze in other players on your budget, Kessler should be locked & loaded in this matchup.
Josh Rosen – UCLA
I saw most of his week 1 game, and saw the breakdown of the film on ESPNU … this guy can really throw the ball. You can squeeze a bit more value out of Rosen on FD, where he’s the 5th ranked QB instead of the 3rd on DK. The matchup against UNLV is a green light.
Connor Cook – Michigan State
This is a really good matchup for Cook for a number of reasons. First, Oregon isn’t very good at stopping the pass, second Michigan State might be pressed into throwing to keep up with Oregon – so both are positive signs for Cook.
Tommy Armstrong Jr. – Nebraska
I like his value better on DK where he’s the 5th ranked QB over FD where he’s ranked 2nd. The matchup is good for him and they are at home.
Dane Evans – Tulsa
New Mexico shut out Miss Valley St last week, but I still believe their pass defense will break down against a decent team. Vegas is predicting a high scoring shoot-out in this one, and I believe Evans will be a big part of the action. The matchup is avaiable on DK, and I think Evans is a solid mid-grade QB that could produce at a top-shelf level given the matchup.
Blake Decker – UNLV
Risky selection here, but when you move outside the top 10 QBs you have to take on some risk. I like Decker for a few reasons. One, I like the matchup against UCLA – who’s not a powerhouse on defense. Two, I like that UNLV will likely be in throw-mode most of the game. Finally, I like Decker’s price, in 2 QB daily college fantasy football formats, he can be a cheap #2 QB with upside.
Matt Linehan – Idaho
Had 48 passing attempts last week and I’d expect a similar output this week given they are facing high-powered USC. In 1 QB leagues, Linehan is risky, but in 2 QB formats, he’s not a bad cheaper #2 QB.
