The QB list is a little shorter this week, not because I was trying to make it quick, but because I had some concerns about some QBs that will keep them out of my lineups this week. Tajh Boyd was in a boot last week, and is a 2 score favorite over Maryland this week … who’s actually not a horrible defense, so I’ll be keeping him off my board. Brett Hundley visits Oregon this week, and I don’t think he will play well despite having to throw most of the game. Braxton Miller faces a decent Penn State defense. So with that being said, here are my picks at QB this week, basically in order.

Our week 9 RB Picks are here.
The week 9 WR picks are here too.
Marcus Mariota – vs UCLA 7:00 pm
Oregon is a 3+ score favorite and the O/U is 70+ = butter matchup. Your only downside is that it gets so ugly they take him out … but he’ll probably have 3 TDs by then.
Bryce Petty – at Kansas 7:00 pm
Baylor is a 34+ point favorite in this one, so no doubt this one should get ugly by the 3rd quarter. Petty has done extremely well (better than the RBs) in these blowout type games.
Jameis Winston – vs North Carolina State 3:30 pm
Solid option this week as his team is a huge favorite in this one. Your downside here is that he gets taken out before he really gets busy, but he’s accounted for most of Florida State’s TDs this season, so he should get a few in this one.
Johnny Manziel – vs Vanderbilt 12:21 pm
Johnny’s a 17 point favorite at home against a so-so defense, that at times has held teams in check this season. Mr. Football still should get plenty of points for you in this one, just at a high price tag.
Garrett Gilbert – vs Temple 3:00 pm
Has an incredible 40+ passing attempts in every game this season. Is effective scrambling at times as well. Temple is a weak defense – but so is SMU, so they are only a 13 point favorite. Your downside is that Gilbert doesn’t thrown more than 2 TDs but I love this matchup and will certainly start him in at least 1 league this week.
Sean Mannion – vs Stanford 10:30 pm
QBs have done well against Stanford this year, and Mannion is a huge part of the Oregon State offense. I wouldn’t expect the 400+ passing yards like he’s gotten recently, but Stanford isn’t the best passing defense so I think he’s a quality start this week.
B.J. Denker – at Colorado
On some daily fantasy sites, Denker is ranked higher – but on this site he’s only $6,250 which is well below what most QBs cost. This week he faces a defense that is pretty poor. The last 2 weeks Denker has played well. Vegas has Arizona as a 14 point favorite and the O/U is 58. So if you blow all your money on your other players, this isn’t a horrible option if he’s cheap.
Keith Price – vs Cal
Cal is basically the one of worst D in the country, but they do face high-powered teams each week. On some DFS Keith Price is a mid-to-high priced option, but on this site he’s only $6,500 which is well below what most QBs cost. He’s an excellent option this week if you’ve spent all your money elsewhere.
John O’Korn – at Rutgers
Up/Down type player, but that’s why he’s cheap. I put him on the list mainly because he’s in a game with a decent O/U 61, and his team is a 1 score underdog, so that should keep him throwing. He should get 30+ passing attempts but your downside is he doesn’t get you more than 1 TD. He’s only $6,000 on this DFS, which is a pretty cheap option at QB.
