Daily College Fantasy Football QB/WR/RB Picks – Week 13 (Thurs-Fri)

Author Note: This selection page is specifically for the FanDuel Thurs/Friday College Football slate of games listed below. I will breakout the other slates on Friday & Saturday like I normally do.

Also note – that the picks aren’t really in any kind of order. There’s a lose order to it, but there’s not much of a gap between any of the positions this week. Each spot has a high level of risk for one reason or another. Difficult slate to pick from … and likely more of a tournament slate for my tastes.

Here are the games on the schedule:

Texas Tech @ Texas (PK) 72.5 o/u
South Florida (-22.5) @ Central Florida 54 o/u
Navy @ Houston (-1) 61 o/u
Iowa (-1.5) @ Nebraska 58 o/u
Baylor (-1/5) @ TCU 80 o/u

Quinton Flowers – USF
$8,600 Fanduel
This is a fantastic matchup against a weak defense. Flowers has upside across all lineups I feel because of his rushing ability.

Chris Johnson – Baylor
$6,600 Fanduel
Is a converted WR playing QB due to all the injuries. Given the slim pickings at QB, he’s an option for sure. Not to mention, Vegas feels like these teams won’t miss a beat.

Patrick Mahomes – Texas Tech
$9,800 Fanduel
The Texas defense looks somewhat questionable on paper, but they can show up at any time and shut a team down. The kids should be fired up for this one. I think Mahomes is a reasonably solid cash game play at these prices.

Bram Kohlhausen – TCU
$5,800 Fanduel
Senior. Might be his last game is likely the narrative. Still, risky because he likely won’t be confirmed the starter before lock & he could easily be pulled if he plays bad. That makes him a tournament pick in my books on a site that doesn’t have late-swap … Kohlhausen will be too risky for most grinders tastes.

C.J. Beathard – Iowa
$6,900 Fanduel
I posted a link last week about his injury status that got more clicks than that website probably has gotten in a while. I’m not sure he has huge upside so he’s not great for tournaments, but he’s risky in cash because of the injury. This is a great matchup though — so I could see using him somewhere.

Wide Receiver

Kolby Listenbee – TCU
$5,600 Fanduel
If you believe the Vegas line, Listenbee could be in line for a nice game.

KaContae Turpin – TCU
$5,400 Fanduel
See Listenbee above.

KD Cannon – Baylor
$6,200 Fanduel
Tournament viable as always.

Jay Lee – Baylor
$5,200 Fanduel
Tournament viable as always.

Corey Coleman – Baylor
$8,400 Fanduel
I think he’s just an expensive tournament option right now because of the QB turnover.

Tre’Quan Smith – UCF
$5,000 Fanduel
$4,600 Draftkings
Nice spot to use him as a value WR.

Jakeem Grant – Texas Tech
$6,400 Draftkings
$6,800 Fanduel
Pair him with Mahomes in your tournament lineups and hope.

Rodeny Adams – USF
$5,700 Draftkings
$6,800 Fanduel
Love this matchup and his price. He’s not usually a huge target monster – so be careful when using, but he could deliver on value on DK in less than 5 touches.

Running Back

DeAndre Washington – Texas Tech
$8,900 Fanduel
Has been sensational recently.

Marlon Mack – USF
$7,700 Fanduel
Can reach value on 11 carries like he did last week and explode over it if give the ball 20+ times. Tournament option for my tastes, but a solid one.

Devin Chafin – Baylor
$4,900 Fanduel
If Shock Linwood is ruled out – Chafin gets a higher boost. TCU can give up some yards on the ground and Baylor is more of a dual threat team with the new QB. If Shock Linwood plays, I think he’s a tournament option because he’s capable but there’d be questions on how many touches he’d actually get.

Chris Warren – Texas
$4,500 Fanduel
If D’Onta Foreman is ruled out – Warren is going to get the start at RB. How much work he gets is a complete mystery. If Forman is somehow ruled healthy – I consider him a top play. This is a A+++++ matchup so I’ll roster someone from this game in some lineups.

Everyone else is somewhat risky in my opinion. Nebraska & Iowa run D is no joke. Similar story in Navy/Houston. That’s not saying I don’t think someone will do well – but to actually make a selection with confidence is going to be dicey. In these spots I like to play more tournaments since loving your cash game lineup is going to be difficult for this slate of college football games.
