Another week where Draftkings & Fanduel are on the same page in terms of scheduling. On DK – the prices for running backs is pretty flat – so you’ll want to take note of the that when filling out your rosters. Just at first glance, I think I’ll play more cash games on this slate given the solid options I see in those spots. Tournament players might see higher volatility given the matchups.
Matt Johnson – Bowling Green
This is an all-in type matchup with Ball St being one of the worst passing defenses in the country. Johnson I believe is a solid cash game player and can be utilized in tournaments.
Quinton Flowers – USF
Not sure why Vegas doesn’t have a line on this game. I feel like I’m missing something, but maybe not. This is a fantastic matchup against a weak defense. Flowers has upside across all lineups I feel because of his rushing ability.
Patrick Mahomes – Texas Tech
The Texas defense looks somewhat questionable on paper, but they can show up at any time and shut a team down. The kids should be fired up for this one. I think Mahomes is a reasonably solid cash game play at these prices.
Riley Neal – Ball State
Good value as a cheaper #2 on Draftkings. I always have a soft spot for home underdog QBs who are facing a weak pass defense.
Jordan Williams – Ball St
Have to imagine Ball St will need to be throwing all game to keep up with Bowling Green. Solid cash game option on both sites.
Roger Lewis – Bowling Green
I’ll have him in lineups hoping people got scared off last week.
Gehrig Dieter – Bowling Green
Still good enough value on DK that you can use him in lots of spots. On Fanduel, they adjusted his price pretty good after he blew up last week – I think you can be more selective pairing him with Johnson.
Tre’Quan Smith – UCF
Nice spot to use him as a value WR.
Jakeem Grant – Texas Tech
Pair him with Mahomes in your tournament lineups and hope.
Kenny Golladay – NIU
I don’t love this matchup, but it’s really not bad. Golladay is a viable target nearly every week. Probably priced too high on Fanduel for the risk you’re taking.
Sebastian Smith – Ohio
Pretty solid mid-priced option at WR in your cash games.
Rodeny Adams – USF
Love this matchup and his price. He’s not usually a huge target monster – so be careful when using, but he could deliver on value on DK in less than 5 touches.
KeVonn Mabon – Ball St
In lineups where you’re trying to reach outside the box, Mabon is a viable target this week.
Joel Bouagnon – NIU
Home favorite. You hope his carries tick back up into the 25 range. On the season Ohio has given up 5.2 yards per carry … which would equate nicely on 25 touches.
Travis Greene – Bowling Green
I love my boy Greene this week again. He’s not going to be a sneaky play but this is a great matchup.
DeAndre Washington – Texas Tech
Has been sensational recently.
Marlon Mack – USF
Can reach value on 11 carries like he did last week and explode over it if give the ball 20+ times. Tournament option for my tastes, but a solid one.
Chris Warren – Texas
If D’Onta Foreman is ruled out – Warren is going to get the start at RB. How much work he gets is a complete mystery. If Forman is somehow ruled healthy – I consider him a top play. This is a A+++++ matchup so I’ll roster someone from this game in some lineups.
A.J. Ouellette – Ohio
Patterson would need to be ruled out before lock for me to play him. I don’t love the matchup at all on the season NIU has given up only 3.7 yards per carry. + NIU is a 13 point home favorite. However, his price is still low enough that if Ohio can get him 20 touches that it doesn’t really matter. Risky, could be a value trap, but interesting spot here.
