Below are my daily college fantasy football running back rankings for week 2 (September 12th). These rankings are only for the early games on 9/12, which is approximately 19 games that all kickoff before 4:45pm EST. Be sure to check back later in the week for late game selections as well.
The first thing I notice when analyzing the early morning daily college fantasy football games to chose from is that there’s plenty of high-end (top-shelf) running back to select from. But then it drops off pretty quick into an array of value priced RBs. Be sure to follow me on twitter. We need more likes on Facebook! And please follow us on Google+ … it’s the least you can do!
Daily CFB 9/12 Saturday – WR Picks
Daily CFB 9/12 Saturday – QB Picks
Ezekiel Elliott – Ohio State
Faces off against Hawaii who gave up 215 rushing yards week 1. The only risk with Elliott is he doesn’t get enough touches in a sure BLOWOUT WINNER matchup.
Derrick Henry – Alabama
Not much to say here. Should be an ABSOLUTE BLOWOUT WINNER matchup against Middle Tennessee. Only risk is his touches are limited because of this.
Nick Chubb – Georgia
Not a cupcake run defense matchup, but Chubb’s offensive line is good enough to open holes on just about anyone.
LeShun Daniels Jr – Iowa
Is the clear #1 starter for Iowa as he got 26 carries week one against Illinois State. Daniels faces off against Iowa State who gave up 126 rushing yards week 1 to a really weak team. In 2014 Iowa State was a poor rush defense, so we’ll assume they’ll revert back to that against a quality team. Overall, Daniels should provide value at this price with room for upside if he finds the endzone.
Josh Hicks – Rutgers
Really good matchup against Washington State who gave up 233 rushing yards week 1. Hicks shares carries with RB Paul James, who’s returing from a knee injury. Hicks should get the bulk of the work and I think he’s a nice value RB/FLEX especially on DraftKings this week.
Taquan Mizzell – Virginia
Not an ideal matchup agasinst Notre Dame, however Mizzell has been proving he’s effective catching the ball out of the backfield which would give him a bump in 1pt PPR formats.
Patrick Skov – Georgia Tech
Only carried the ball 12 times week one against Alcorn State, however got 72 yards and 3 TDs. He’s not really expensive, making him an ideal cheap RB2/FLEX type player. This week he faces off against Tulane, who gave up 206 rushing yards week 1.
C.J. Prosise – Notre Dame
$5,200 DraftKings Good Value
Touched the ball 21 times in a week 1 blowout win. Faces off against Virginia who didn’t look great against UCLA during last week. Prosise is pretty reasonably priced for a guy that rates to get 15+ touches in this game.
