Daily College Fantasy Football – RB Picks – Week 2 (Saturday)

Here we go. Week #2 of the NCAA football season is here. I’m sweating some Thursday/Friday games … and if all goes as planned in the Nevada game, things should be good. Anyway, today we have our running back picks for Saturday 9/6

It’s not really in order and I slip some cheap guys in.

Saturday – Week 2 – QB PICKS

Saturday – Week 2 – WR PICKS

Saturday – Week 2 – TE Picks

Complete Archive Of Picks

Colorado State at Boise StateJAY AJAYI
One of the few guys you could start virtually every week. Last week faced a pretty good defense and still put up fantasy numbers with 12 catches. CSU is good, but should be a little easier for Ajayi to find room. The coaches said they wanted to get him 30 touches in the off-season … and after game 1 .. he stands at 32.

Arizona State – D.J. FOSTER
Last week he beasted on limited touched. Probably won’t get a bunch here but probably won’t need many. Last week New Mexico held UTEP in check through the air – but gave up 237 rushing yards to Aaron Jones.

East Carolina at South Carolina – MIKE DAVIS – BRANDON WILDS
Davis has been limited in practice, and came out of last weeks game. To me, there’s too many red flags to play Davis right now. Plus the coach has recently said he’d like backup RB David Williams to start getting touches too. Wilds on the other hand should get touches either way and provides some upside considering he’s pretty cheap.

Florida International at AlabamaT.J. YELDON
Top price guy, but he’s not crazy expensive. Only real issue is bama is a ~40 point favorite so it might get out of hand. In that case RB Derrick Henry is pretty much the #2 guy and will get carries even if the game were for some odd reason be close … so he’s a guy you can play too.

San Jose State at AuburnCAMERON ARTIS-PAYNE
Great matchup, got the bulk of the touches last week and likely will have a big role in this game too. RB Corey Grant could get enough mop-up duty as well.

Oklahoma at Tulsa – KEITH FORD – ALEX ROSS
Another combo back blowout here. Ford will get the start and Ross will likely get plenty of carries if the game goes according to plan.

Fresno at Utah – DEVONTAE BOOKER
Had a good week last week on only 10 carries, plus his price tag isn’t super high.

Missouri at Toledo – RUSSELL HANSBROUGH
Appears to be the #1 guy and has a good matchup this week again.

Michigan State at Oregon – JEREMY LANGFORD
Was a disapointment last week in a blowout win, so you can give him a pass. You never know with the Ducks at home … this game could get out of hand and Michigan State needs to throw.

Air Force at Wyoming – JACOBI OWENS
Who’s 5th in the NCAA in rushing yards? Owens with 233 on 23 carries. He’s only $4,500 on FanDuel

Duke at Troy – JOSH SNEAD – SHAQUILLE POWELL
Troy gave up a bunch of yards on the ground last week against UAB, and while both Snead and Powell split carries – Powell especially can be a value pick if you run out of money.

Missouri at Toledo – KAREEM HUNT
I worry a little bit about Toledo falling behind and having to throw, but Hunt is a viable option at a mid-level price.

UAB at Mississippi State – JORDAN HOWARD
This guy is 10th in the nation in rushing on 19 carries … it was against Troy however. He’s not super expensive and I bet not many people will have him in, just hope UAB can stay in the game so he can get carries.

BYU at Texas – MALCOLM BROWN – JOHNATHAN GRAY
With Texas starting QB out for the game, it might open up some opportunities for Texas to run the ball more. These two essentially split carries. The starting center did go down with an injury, which might effect what Texas can do. UPDATE: The coach suspended 2 more offensive lineman, meaning I’ll likely avoid these two.

Central Michigan at Purdue – RAHEEM MOSTERT – AKEEM HUNT
Raheem was used as the main RB, but Hunt is a good pass-catcher and will see some looks. Both provide good value, and Purdue likes to use both.
