Seems like there’s lock after lock this week with the running backs. It’s pretty clear by now who’s getting touches and who’s run-D is weak. I’ve left a few names off the list, only because I feel good about the matchups on several top running backs this week. I’ve also included some cheaper guys at the bottom.

Week 3 – Daily College Fantasy Football WR Picks
Boise State at UCONN – JAY AJAYI
This guy was a LOCK in last weeks late games and the only thing I regret is I didn’t enter more late contests (because I had to go to a wedding). The coach is trying to get him the ball as much as possible. I hope it doesn’t wear him down, but these young kids should be fine. If he does happen to stay healthy, he’ll be picking up a trophy at the end of the year too.
Indiana at Bowling Green – TEVIN COLEMAN
He was unstoppable week 1. This week faces a BG team that is the worst at stopping the pass. It shouldn’t matter for Coleman owners, he will touch the ball and has big-play ability so he can touch it ~ 10 times and still have a huge day.

Nebraska at Fresno State – AMEER ABDULLAH
Wow, the Huskers almost lost at home against McNeese State! Ameer Abdullah only touched the ball 20 times, including the game winning play. He faces a Fresno State that isn’t a very good defense against the run or pass …. so you’ve got to love Abdullah again this week.
Arizona St. at Colorado – D.J. FOSTER
Has been a lock the last 2 weeks against weak teams – faces Colorado which isn’t a great run defense either so he should have room to run again.
Georgia at South Carolina – TODD GURLEY
SC hasn’t been able to stop anyone through the air that their run D isn’t tested. Gurley will test it this week and he’s a solid play again.
Pitt at Florida International – JAMES CONNER
Has been a beast the first two weeks. Appears to be the guy in this offense.
USC at Boston College – JAVORIUS ALLEN
Was very impressive against Stanford last week and faces a BC team that is a weaker test. He has 45 carries on the year and Justin Davis is second with 20. The only real issue is Allen’s lone TD run which actually is keeping his price down.

Wyoming at Oregon – ROYCE FEEMAN (23) – BYRON MARSHALL (13) – THOMAS TYNER (24)
Wow, I’ve honestly avoided these guys because I don’t need the headache of wondering who will go off, but they are all start-able. The number above is the number of carries each has so far. Byron Marshall leads the team in catches and yards and that trend might continue all season. Royce leads the group in rushing yards and TD’s with 4. Tyner has the most carries, but has less yards than both Marshall and Freeman.
Louisville at Virginia – DOMINIQUE BROWN
Got 31 touches week 1 against Miami, then was basically iced in a blowout win … this game should be somewhat competitive and you hope he gets back into the 25+ carry mode.
Indiana at Bowling Green – TRAVIS GREENE
Indiana has only played one game and the team had to throw all game, but Greene should have some room to roll here, you just hope Inidiana doesn’t run up the score since they have some talented weapons.
Ohio at Marshall – DEVON JOHNSON
Is 9th in the NCAA in rushing on only 33 carries. Only real downside is he doesn’t get invovled in the passing game much.

Not saying you should start these guys across your entire lineups …. but sometimes you run out of money and have 1 spot left. These are guys you can plug in that have some upside based on matchup and role on the team.
Syracuse at Central Michigan – THOMAS RAWLS
Has 56 carries on the year (more than Jay Ajayi) … and he’s not really too expensive.
NC State at USF – MARLON MACK
This guy has value on DraftKings in the EARLY games. He’s $4,900 and he’s 4th in the nation in rushing yards.
Washington – LAVON COLEMAN
Gets about 2/3rds of the running back load for the Huskies and faces an okay Illinois team. Not a horrible cheaper play.
Rice at Texas A&M – TREY WILLIAMS
With Tra Carson questionable in this one, I could see rolling with one of the A&M backs against this weak defense.
ULM at LSU – LEONARD FOURNETTE
There’s actually a guy on ULM who’s 19th in the country in rushing on 46 carries named Centarius Donald that I maybe start down the road against an easier team, but LSU should have ULM throwing. Fournette is cheap and the coach got him some touches last game.
Nevada at Arizona – NICK WILSON
Terris Jones-Grigsby is questionable again and that makes Wilson a viable option again. He’s a highly talented freshman.
