Daily College Fantasy Football RB Picks – Week 5 (Thursday/Friday)

There’s one super stud running back in the Thursday slate of fantasy college football. I think I’ll mix in lineups with Thomas and I’ll have lineups where I fade Thomas, but I’ll likely have more with him in because the stars are aligned for him to really have a nice game. Everyone else is going to likely be in that south of 15 touches type game … so it will be a gamble to pick the guy that goes off. Pick your spots & manage your bankroll and you should have a nice Thursday/Friday daily CFB slate.

Miami (-6) @ Cincinnati 68 o/u
Memphis (-10) @ South Florida 62 o/u
Temple (-23) @ UNC Charlotte 48 o/u
Connecticut @ BYU (-18.5) 46.5 o/u

Jahad Thomas – Temple
$9.600 Draftkings
$8,800 Fanduel
It’s pretty clear coaches try to get Thomas about 30 touches. If he gets 30 touches in this game, he will be a must play. I think you have to have exposure to Thomas this week.

Joseph Yearby – Miami
$8,800 Draftkings
$8,100 Fanduel
He’s going to be in that 20 touch range if all goes well. He’s scored a TD in every game this season. This matchup is a good one as teams are ripping off 172.8 yards per game and 4.6 yards per carry against Cincinnati. Teammate Mark Walton rates to get about 10 – 15 touches, but would be considered a lower end gamblers type pick.

Tion Green – Cincinnati
$4,400 Draftkings
$6,800 Fanduel
If Mike Boone doesn’t play, it boosts Green up just a bit. This play will boom or bust on game flow. If Miami is up by a few scores, I think Green gets more time in the game than Hosey Williams. Green’s value is better on Draftkings where he’s well below average.

Arkeel Newsome – Connecticut
Boom or bust type guy. Teammate Ron Johnson should also get touches. This is a pretty good matchup, I think you can sprinkle these two in lineups but don’t go crazy.

Jarvis Cooper – Sam Craft
Craft is listed as WR on DK and RB on FD. He splits carries with Cooper. USF got ripped up by Florida State’s Dalvin Cook a few weeks back, so there will be room to run. Craft is a safer selection, whereas Cooper is a risky selection that has some small upside if he gets a TD.

Marlon Mack – South Florida
$6,900 Draftkings
$6,000 Fanduel
His performance has been trending down. Faces a fairly solid Memphis team. I feel Mack’s upside isn’t super high in this one. The positive is Mack’s usage rates will probably be really low, especially on Draftkings, so he could be a gambling contrairian type play.
