Here are the 10 RB’s I’ve got my eye on this week based on matchups and past performance. No super sleepers this week, but if I find a few before Saturday I will add them here.
Bishop Sankey – at Arizona State
Arizona State is in the bottom half of NCAA teams at stopping the run, and you’ve got to love the last 2 games where Sankey’s had 25+ carries, 2 TD’s and 5 catches in each game. Should be another good week for this guy.
Mike Davis – at Tennessee
Has over 100 yards in each of the last 3 games and at least 1 rushing TD in each game this season. This week he goes against Tennessee which isn’t really a very good run defense.
Marion Grice – vs Washington
Not a yard or carries muncher, but will get several catches per game as well. Had 2 TD’s on only 13 carries last week. Washington isn’t the worlds best defense and Vegas has this one going down to the wire, which might help Grice stay in the passing game through the entire game.
Terry Baggett – at Temple
Had an amazing 304 rushing yards on only 18 carries last week with 4 TDs. A Hot/Cold type player, but Temple is not a great defense so he should have room to run again this week, just don’t expect 300 yards.
Jeremy Hill – at Ole Miss
Last week he was held without a TD for the first time this season, but still had 19 carries for 121 yards. Might catch you a pass or two, but nothing crazy. Going against not a great defense this week, and we feel that LSU will rely on the Hill this game.
Lache Seastrunk – vs Iowa State
Had an off week last week and only got 12 carries for 54 yards. He’s done well in cupcake games this year, except he’ll probably get less than 15 carries in this one, so you’re going to be rolling the dice and hope he gets it done early & often.
Ka’Deem Carey – Utah
This guy has been a rock the entire season. Solid option again this week. Utah’s got a decent run-D so it might limit his upside, but his consistency has been there all year.
Rajion Neal – vs South Carolina
Doesn’t face off against a super strong D this week, and has back-to-back 25+ carry games with 145+ yards in each. He should get you a few catches each game too.
Melvin Gordon & James White – at Illinois
This game isn’t supposed to be really high scoring so that’s a red flag. Also last week was the 1st time all year Gordon got over 16 carries in a game, so he’s not a workhorse type back. He also doesn’t get a ton of catches, White gets more.. Illinois is not the best run-D but I think there are more dynamic backs you can get for this price or less.
