Daily College Fantasy Football WR Picks – Week 1 (9/5 Saturday)

There are TONS of WR’s to pick from this weekend. Like years prior, I could have gone on-and-on listing WRs you can play, but tried to limit the WR rankings to just guys I like value wise. You should have no problem finding WR’s to start at all different price ranges. While there will be lots of WRs that will go off this weekend, I think these guys will be steady enough to get you some points & possibly win you some matchups.

Saturday CFB – QB Picks
Saturday CFB – RB Picks

JAKEEM GRANT – Texas Tech
They play Sam Houston State. Period. Teammates Devin Lauderdale and Ian Sadler can also be considered.

RIVER CRACRAFT – Washington State
As with all WSU receivers, I like them all more in 1pt PPR leagues because the team really spreads the ball around. Cracraft was solid almost all season long last year and is the teams starting slot WR.

GABE MARKS – Washington State
Mysteriously vanished last season, but appears to be due to a bar fight and a concussion. Led the team in receptions and yards prior to that. Super risky because I’m not sure what his role will be, but he’s a top-end talent that’s priced fairly affordable given his circumstances.

MARQUEZ NORTH – Tennessee
I love this matchup, and the Vols appear to be without several players at WR. The only real issue with North is he’s somewhat unproven, never reaching 100+ yards in a game last season, but it wasn’t like he was far up the depth chart either. Von Pearson and Josh Malone are also getting the start for the Vols and can be used as cheap options at WR.

SHAQ WASHINGTON – Cincinnati
Has a QB that likes to throw. Washington is more effective in 1pt PPR leagues and the matchup against Alabama AM is obviously a green light. I see a weather alert on this game, so you might want to check if that’s serious before starting him.

BYRON MARSHALL – DWAYNE STANFORD – Oregon
Love the cupcake matchup. Oregon really spreads the ball around but these two are at the top of the depth chart right now. Marshall will likely see some time in the backfield as well, but he’s kind of overpriced.

DOM WILLIAMS – Washington State
He’s really cheap, and part of that is due to some new additions to the team at WR. Williams is kind of a boom-or-bust type player that you probably don’t want to roll across all lineups – but he’s cheap enough to take a look at as a WR3 or FLEX play.

D.J. FOSTER – Arizona St
He’s switched to WR this season. He has added value if the coach still gives him some running attempts too. The A&M matchup is decent, although its on the road. I think his price is a little rich on DK ($8,000) but he’s worth monitoring.

JONATHAN DUHART – ODU
FanDuel has him ranked as one of the lower ODU WR’s, but some research show’s he’s #1 on the depth chart and roommates with the QB. The matchup is really good, and it’s anyone’s guess who will get the touches in this game … however Duhart is a true WR sleeper that is worth shooting in a lineup or two.

TRAVIS RUDOLPH – JESUS (Bobo) WILSON – Florida State
Love this cupcake matchup. Both are expected to be the starters at WR, although no depth chart was released by FSU so it’s a bit of a mystery. The team doesn’t have a ton of depth behind these tow other than Emron Lane, so I think you could roll with either one.

JENSON STOSHAK – FAU
Total shot in the dark here, but you don’t need me to tell you how good the top 5 WRs are … sometimes you need a cheap WR to fill out a lineup. Last season against Tulsa (who was a terrible pass defense) Stoshak had 4 catches for 155 yards and 1 TD. He’s listed as the teams’ #1 WR on the depth chart.
