No Johnny Football on the board this week, but there are some good matchups for some of the QBs this week. Marcus Mariota apparently tweaked his knee last week, and appears to be okay, but that’s too risky for me to have him in this week. Also, Dak Prescott is a gametime decision, where you could get the backup Tyler Russell in if he doesn’t go, but its a tough matchup.
Week 12 NCAA RB Daily Fantasy Picks if you need them.
Here are the WR Picks for this week too.
Bryce Petty – vs Texas Tech
85.5 O/U in this game. That’s one of the largest O/U’s I’ve seen all season. Baylor is a 27.5 point favorite, which isn’t as high as its been against even weaker teams. Most of you play in multiple games on Saturday, you have to put Petty in at least 1 lineup just based on how high scoring this one is expected to be.
Taylor Kelly – vs Oregon State
Had an off week last time out, but still had 3 touchdowns. Vegas only has AZ State winning by 14 and the O/U is 64, so that’s good. Oregon State is a so-so defense, this should be an entertaining game where Kelly has 4 TD upside.
Braxton Miller – vs Illinois
Last week had 4 TDs and this week goes against another easy team. His team is a 33.5 point favorite and Vegas has a O/U of 67 on this one. He might see limited time again, but he’s allowed to put up numbers (for recruiting purposes) … so you have upside if you have him in this week.
Garrett Gilbert – vs Connecticut
Has 40 or more passing attempts in EVERY game this year. 56 O/U is kinda low, his team is 16 point favorite. Connecticut is a decent defense … but so are some of the ones Gilbert has cut-up this year too. If you go with Vegas, he gets held down a bit in this game, but he could be seeing other QBs slip, and this is a chance for Gilbert to elevate his low NFL stock.
Bo Wallace – vs Troy
Troy is one of the worst defenses against the pass in the college football, so that’s good for Bo. Also, Vegas has a nice 68.5 O/U on this one. The only downside is Ole Miss is a 28 point favorite, which might mean 3 quarters of action from the starters … but that might be all you need.
B.J. Denker – vs Washington St.
Pretty solid matchup against a so-so defense. Not going to be a blowout game, but the O/U is 65.5 so there should be some scoring. You’re hoping Denker gets a couple of rushing TDs.
Sean Mannion – at Arizona State
The AZ State defense has been playing decent recently and Mannion has struggled … but he gets to throw 40+ times per game. on most daily fantasy sites his value has slipped, so you’re gambling based on his recent play – but he has more upside at this price.
Jared Goff – at Colorado
Goff only has 1 TD all season on the road … and 16 at home. I probably won’t risk having him in just based on that … even though this is a good matchup for him on paper.
