Daily Fantasy NFL Football Week 7 – QB Picks

Took a week off last week because I was in Vegas. Back now, so here are my picks for week 7 daily fantasy football QB’s … in order.

Peyton Manning – at Indianapolis
Vegas O/U = 55
Line = Broncos -7

This week he goes up against a sneaky tough defense against passers this year. Given that this one is back where it all began for Peyton, it might not matter. For the price, I don’t love him like we did a few weeks ago against Dallas.

Andrew Luck – vs Denver
Vegas O/U = 55
Line = Broncos -7

Denver’s defense is actually pretty poor – especially against the pass. Even when some of their starters return, I don’t think they are that good of a defense. Luck hasn’t really had a huge game this year, but he’s a solid pick this week because he will be throwing most of the game.

Nick Foles – vs Dallas
Vegas O/U = 55
Line = Eagles -3

You knew this was bound to happen, which is why playing daily fantasy can be less frustrating than season long formats, because Vick owners who don’t have Foles are sweating now. But you don’t have to worry about that … Foles is starting this week, against one of the leagues worst passing defenses. Foles has 6 passing and 1 rushing TD this season, and is a solid mid-priced option on most sites.

Eli Manning – vs Minnesota
Vegas O/U = 46.5
Line = Giants -3.5

A few weeks ago we had Eli near the top of our QB picks, and here he is again. This week he goes against another weak passing defense that has given up on average 300+ passing yards & 2+ TD’s to QB’s this year. In leagues where you start 2 QB’s, looking at lower priced guys like Eli and Nick Foles might allow you to have Eli’s brother, Rodgers or Romo this week too.

Philip Rivers – at Jacksonville
Vegas O/U = 45.5
Line = Chargers -8

Teams get in run mode against Jacksonville early, but the Jags showed some signs of life last week in a game they probably got up for. This week I like Rivers again, espeically if he’s a mid-tier option on your DFS.

Cam Newton – vs St. Louis
Vegas O/U = 42
Line = Panthers -6

Vegas thinks this one will be one of the lowest scoring contests of the week, so that has me concerned a bit, but the Rams are a pretty weak defensive team. For the money, I’d probably rather start Foles or Eli if they were cheaper, but I can’t blame owners who want to take a shot on Cam this week.

Jay Cutler & Robert Griffin III
Vegas O/U = 50
Line = Pick

I bet Jay Cutler & RGIII haven’t been compared to eachother very often, but this week they face off against eachother and they are interesting plays. Each face a passing defense with is near the bottom 1/3rd of the league (but the Bears do have 9 INT’s) … so I like Cutler there. If RGIII is getting more comfortable, here is a game where he could do some damage. I think these are both risky plays, but could be good options based on the Vegas lines.

Aaron Rodgers – vs Cleveland
Vegas O/U = 46.5
Line = Packers -10

The Browns have actually been really solid against teams this season against the pass this week, so I wouldn’t be starting Rodgers as my exclusive QB this week. It’s not that he won’t have a solid game, but this matchup isn’t the best for him.

Tom Brady – at NY Jets
Vegas O/U = 43.5
Line = New England -3.5

Tom’s had a rough stat line the last 2 weeks with more INT’s than TD’s. I don’t love his matchup this week, but his weapons are getting healthy and the Jets only have 1 INT on the season.
