Well It’s becoming a grind, I am just watching some picks do really well & others struggling.
I went 0-3 last night.
Last Night’s Stat’s
Contests Played: 3
Total Stake: $2.25
Paid places: 0
Profit: – $2.25
Tonight see’s 14 games from 7pm ET, with the Cubs – Cardinals an early game.
Look out for the weather in Cleveland, Ohio and be ready to adjust your line up 10 minutes before 7pm ET.
My teams tonight should both score 100 points. Hopefully one of the teams has multiple home runs.
I’ll show you the team without Stephen Strasburg, who you should play in one contest.
P Carlos Carrasco (CLE) $6,900
With one eye on the weather Carrasco’s ERA is at a very respectable 3.17.
P Carlos Rondon (CWS) $6,400
Following one of his better starts, hopefully he continues to bring his ERA down below 4.50.
C Wilson Ramos (WSH) $4,700
He has been one of the better catchers this year and this past week.
1B Joey Votto (CIN) $5,000
Votto’s got a good BVP, however the two reds with better numbers are too expensive for me.
2B Logan Forsythe (TB) $5,300
I think 5,300 is too much, however my pitchers are cheap and he has good numbers.
3B Jose Ramirez (CLE) $4,200
Had a HR last night and hitting .309 for the season.
SS Manny Machado (BAL) $4,800
Batting Average = .306, Home Runs = 26, Runs Batted In = 69.
OF Nelson Cruz (SEA) $4,900
The Mariners had an off day on Thursday, but Cruz went 3-4 Wednesday with 1 double & a HR.
OF Ian Desmond (TEX) $3,800
Desmond is one of Texas’ biggest threats hitting a shade over .290 and with 20 long balls.
OF Jacoby Ellsbury (NYY) $3,800
I don’t think we can expect the 2011 version of Ellsbury, but he provides good points at his price point.
Remaining Budget $200
Just looking at all 8 of my hitters, every single name represents good recent memories for a fantasy player. More often than not they have had good point totals next to their names.
As it is Friday, I think I’m going to play several teams, grab a few beers & watch all the action on MLB.tv
