MLB PICKS: SEPTEMBER 11TH

Well at about 7.30pm ET it was all looking so good, but Sunday morning revealed the teams didn’t live up to their early promise.

Today many casual players will be more focused on their football teams so perhaps a chance to do marginally better.

My team for today is as follows…

P Gio Gonzalez (WSH) $8,600

His last time out was awful giving up 6 earned runs in 3 innings against the Braves, scoring minus points. However the start before was against today’s opponents in Philadelphia where he tossed 6 innings with 3 baserunners and only 1 run allowed.

P Kenta Maeda (LAD) $9,500

Over his last 10 starts Maeda has got 7 wins, 2 losses and one no decision, The Dodgers did win that no decision game. Last time out against the D’backs Maeda struck out 8 over 6 & a third. While he only allowed one earned run.

C Russell Martin (TOR) $3,600

Facing Buchholz Martin is hitting 7/25 with 4 home runs. Although only hitting .171 over the past 15 days.

1B Miguel Cabrera (DET) $5,100

So far in 2016 he has 31 home runs and he is hitting .312. Facing Tillman he is 5/15 with a home run.

2B Devon Travis (TOR) $3,600

Travis has gone 4/9 against Buchholz, and over the past 7 days he has gone 12/26.

3B Jedd Gyorko (STL) $4,200

Facing Davies the Cardinal has gone 4/6 with a home run, He is only hitting .256 for the year though.

SS Danny Espinosa (WSH) $3,700

Facing Morgan he is 2/8 those two hits were home runs, he’s only hitting .220 on the season but has 21 homers.

OF Melky Cabrera (CWS) $3,700

Facing Kennedy he is hitting 5/15 with 2 homers, He is also hitting .297 for the year and .346 for the past 7 days.

OF Andrew McCutchen (PIT) $3,400

McCutchen is in today’s team based on his performances of past years, Sadly since he was the face of a video game he hasn’t reached those dizzy heights. Still for $3,400 is worth a gamble.

OF Jose Ramirez (CLE) $4,600

Facing Berrios is 3/5 and he is batting .400 over the past week and .310 for the season.

Hopefully my team can achieve 4 home runs, and have multi hit ballgames, as for my pitching duo I would hope to get 13 innings with at least 10 strikeouts and under 4 earned runs allowed.

The seasonal averages suggest a lowly 90.8 points for this team, however with upside, I would hope this team could achieve 130-140 points.
