My team for Friday is below and all teams play starting at 7.05pm ET.

P Madison Bumgarner (SF) $11,200

“Mad Bums” last 2 starts have combined for 13 Innings Pitched & 5 earned Runs allowed. That’s a 3.46 ERA which isn’t bad and he picked up the W both times. His K/9 is just 10.08 and his season WHIP is a lowly 1.04. The D’backs are a middle of the road team in terms of batting statistics.

P Yordano Ventura (KC) $8,600

Ventura’s numbers don’t scream out at you to pick him, However the White Sox are 23rd overall in total home runs even though their ballpark is the AL’s batters paradise. The Royals have won all 7 of Ventura’s last 7 starts and he picked up the decision 4 times in that stretch. Not a sure thing however I’d expect positive points and the probability of 20+ points is good.

C Sandy Leon (BOS) $3,100

Leon is hitting .350 for the year, even though it’s a shortened season. I always like to have a Boston player on my team as the offence has been the best in 2016.

1B Edwin Encarnacion (TOR) $3,900

Facing a CY Young candidate would usually be a red flag; however “E squared” is 13/34 lifetime with 3 home runs.

2B Ian Kinsler (DET) $3,800

Facing Gausman Kinsler is 5/9 with a home run, this past week he is 7/17 that’s a .412 batting average over the time span.

3B Nolan Arenado (COL) $4,800

Against Perdomo he is 3/5 with 2 homers, over the last 15 days he is hitting .380 with 3 HR and 10 RBI’s.

SS Manny Machado (BAL) $4,300

Over the past 7 days he is hitting .360 with 2 homers. Facing Fulmer he is 1/3 with that hit being a round tripper.

OF Kole Calhoun (LAA) $3,400

Facing Yu Darvish the Angel is 3/8 with 2 home runs. He has hit 3 homers in the last 7 days also.

OF Carlos Gonzalez (COL) $4,200

Against Perdomo he is 3/5 with a home run, on the road he has registered 7 of his 25 homers. So far this month he is hitting .185 5/27 so that’s why his salary is low.

OF Steven Souza Jr (TB) $2,700

Against Pineda he is 8/17 with 3 home runs, add on the fact that he hit 2 dingers yesterday and he looks a very good option.

My Hopes

P Madison Bumgarner (SF) – 30 points

P Yordano Ventura (KC) – 25 points

C Sandy Leon (BOS) – 8 points

1B Edwin Encarnacion (TOR) – 16 points

2B Ian Kinsler (DET) – 14 points

3B Nolan Arenado (COL) – 9 points

SS Manny Machado (BAL) – 14 points

OF Kole Calhoun (LAA) – 14 points

OF Carlos Gonzalez (COL) – 10 points

OF Steven Souza Jr (TB) – 14 points

154 total points should pay out, although I do think that winning totals will be slightly higher than the average.
