Tonight’s an interesting night of NBA action – where most of the games have a similar o/u total, so focusing on game flow might be more important than the Vegas total.
Here are the target scores we are shooting for tonight Saturday December 12, 2015. Keep in mind, if you have the NBA’s best team go into double-OT …. it’s likely you’re going to need a lot more points than this to cash in GPPs especially!
Here are some target cash game players. I try to add to these as the night rolls on, but sometimes I just can’t narrow down guys I like enough to suggest others wager on. Always do a status check pre-game though … because randomly you will have guys go down like last night with Bradley Beal.
Draftkings: Blake Griffin, Pau Gasol,
Fanduel: Lou Williams, Batum, Kristaps
Yahoo: Not sure yet.
G – Lou Williams
G – D’Angelo Russell
G – Bojan Bogdanovic
G – OJ Mayo
G – Allen Crabbe
G – Nick Young (GPP Only Sleeper)
C – Cody Zeller
12/11 Recap: When analyzing my NBA DFS results, for whatever reason – I don’t do as well on nights where there’s tons of games … or a full slate. I tend to avoid tournaments those nights, because creating lineup combinations could take weeks. In cash games, as you guys have seen – I tend to go with a more balanced lineup, and nights where you have Draymond Green go 5×5, Curry go off and other elite players have big games … I can see why I almost like to avoid the full slate.
Results: 6-0 Cash Yahoo
Anyway, still a decent night even though I got scared and only entered lineups on Yahoo – since the salaries on Yahoo are either spot-on or way-off … so it’s easier to build lineups in cash games on full slates & feel good about it. The only issue with Yahoo, I tried to enter a bunch of contests and only got into 6 … and only one at the $5 dollar level.
As you can see – I broke way through the target score on Yahoo, which is usually between 235 – 250 …. but I was still near the cash line (pictured is a 19th place in a $5 50/50 with 50 players). Most of the top scores were north of 300 … which can get you a tournament win on some nights on Yahoo.
That’s why it’s good to analyze your play – especially with NBA DFS. Since you can play almost everyday, figure out the nights that you play your best. It’s possible – you play better on nights like Friday night, where there’s more games & more viable player combinations. If you’re like me – I like the 5 – 8 game slates where I can really spend the time to find out which player combinations are likely the most optimal. Also, as I’ve discussed here as well, I like to mix up my tournaments vs cash games depending on my mood & the slate size. Last week I was all over tournaments, this week I’ve almost only been playing cash games. Keep in mind you can always play partial slates if you like the small/medium sized game selections like I do.
Tonight will likely be a full day of action since my schedule is 100% free-and-clear. I’m hopefully going to be able to love my lineups enough on all 3 sites to have action everywhere. We’ll see.
