Week three of the 2013 NFL season looks to bring us another slate full of action packed games on Sunday and Monday. Each week we continue to find out which players are the real deal and which players are just pretenders.
Top Three Quarterbacks Week 3:
Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos – Manning is off to a big start in 2013 after throwing for seven touchdowns in week one he followed that up with two more last week. Manning has 769 yards passing and nine touchdowns in just two games.
Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys – I flipped him late to take Aaron Rodgers spot as I have a a hunch that the Rams and Cowboys are going to be a high scoring game. Look for Romo to have a big game at home in week three.
Matt Stafford, Detroit Lions – Stafford and the Lions are going up against a Redskins team that was scorched last week by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Look for Stafford and company to put up some points in the nations capital.
Breakout QB Week 3:
Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals – The Packers have allowed 732 yards passing in two games this season and Dalton gets a shot at them in week three. I decided Dalton was a good enough value to have him in in my lineups on this site.
Top Three Running Backs Week 3:
Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks – Lynch gets a crack at the 31st ranked rushing defense in the Jaguars. Last week against a solid 49ers defense Lynch rushed for 98 yards, two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown.
Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings – Every week Peterson should make the top list as he can break out for 200 yards against any team in the NFL. This week he goes up against a Cleveland Browns team that shut down the run against Baltimore in week two.
Breakout Running Back Week 3:
C.J. Spiller, Buffalo Bills – Spiller has been quiet to start 2013 but can take a pass or run to the house on any play. Look for A.J. Manuel to get him involved more in the passing game as the season moves along. I’ve got CJ in a few lineups for $7,500 on this site.
Top Three Wide Receivers Week 3:
A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals – Green and Dalton get to team up against a Packers secondary that has allowed back to back big games to receivers to start 2013.
Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions – Megatron looks to have a big game in 2013 in the nations capital against a Redskins team that just allowed 178 yards to James Jones in week 2.
Eric Decker, Denver Broncos – Decker who has caught passes has yet to find the end zone for the Broncos in 2013. All three receivers in the Broncos lineup has a chance each week to have a big game.
Breakout Wide Receiver Week 3:
Golden Tate, Seattle Seahawks – The Seahawks get the Jacksonville Jaguars in week three. Look for Russell Wilson to make plays with his legs to open up the passing game. If you feel like taking a risk, Tate is 1/2 as much as most WR’s on this daily fantasy site.
Top Two Tight Ends Week 3:
Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints – Till a team in the league figures out how to slow down the Saints offense Jimmy Graham is a go at tight end.
Jared Cook, St. Louis Rams – After a big week one performance Cook was limited against the Falcons last week. He should have an opportunity against a Cowboys team that has allowed over six hundred yards in two games this season.
Breakout Tight End Week 3:
Ed Dickson, Baltimore Ravens – Dickson and Joe Flacco will get on rhythm against a very good Texans defense in week three. In the previous two games Dickson has had issues dropping passes but he also missed most of the preseason injured. I put Dickson in a few lineups on this site.
