Week 5 College Football Daily Fantasy TE Picks

Some bizarre pricing for TE’s on fantasy site Draft Kings this week. Some backups and one hit wonders are highly priced. Some good values in the $2,750 range as you might want to save a few bucks on your daily lineup.

John Mundt – Oregon – $5,500
The Freshman from Modesto, CA was nowhere to be found until scoring 2 TD’s in Oregon’s last game. Who knows who will score the TD’s for Oregon, and Mundt is as likely to goose egg as he is to have another good game.

Beau Sandland – Miami – $5,000
Unless I’m missing something Sandland is considered a backup in Miami to Clive Walford. Start Beau at your own risk.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins – Washington– $5,000
Finally had a good game last week as expected. This guy has as much talent as any TE in the country.  Might finally be getting up to speed and catching his wind. Look for him stay active in the Washington passing game.

Eric Ebron – North Carolina – $4,500
Last Week: 6 Rec. 108 Yards 1 TD
Got off last week for 108 yards and a TD. Very athletic and skilled. Has seen his number of catches increase each week. Solid option to use in daily leagues.

Chris Coyle – Arizona State – $4,250
Last Week: 1 Rec. 45 Yards 1 TD
Only one catch last week, but it was for a 45 yard TD. Should get some additional touches this week.

Connor Hamlett – Oregon State – $4,250
Last Week: 4 Rec. 26 Yards
Consistently gets at least a few catches per game. Gets looks in the redzone. I thought he got nicked up a little bit last week, along with another Oregon State TE, but neither appear on the injury report.

Colt Lyerla – Oregon – $3,750
Last Game: Goose Egg
Another one of Oregon’s TE’s. It is going to be a high scoring game against Cal, but have fun trying to figure out who’s going to get touches at TE. Lyerla has 2 catches through 3 games.

Clive Walford – Miami – $3,250
Last Week: 2 Rec. 50 Yards
Considered the starting TE in Miami.  Draft Kings has backup Beau Sandland ($5,000) priced higher. Go with Walford if you want a Miami TE.

Nick O’Leary – Florida State – $3,250
Last Week: Goose Egg
Has vanished from the FSU offense since his 3 TD effort in week 1.

Spencer Parker – UCONN – $3,000
Last Week: 2 Rec. 17 Yards 1 TD
His first two catches of the year were last week. He’s a gamble.

Kellen Clute – Oregon State – $3,000
Last Week: 3 Rec. 14 Yards 1 TD
Another one of Oregon State’s TE’s. I’d rather start Hamlett ($4,250) but Clute has 4 catches and 2 TD’s this year.

C.J. Fiedorowicz – Iowa – $3,000
Last Week: 1 Rec. 12 Yards
Hasn’t been involved in the Iowa offense yet this season. Caught a bunch of passes last year so maybe he’ll get it going.

Troy Niklas – Notre Dame – $3,000
Last Week: 1 Rec. 7 Yards
Only 2 receptions the last 2 weeks. Notre Dame has a weak QB so that effects Niklas.

Mitchell Loewen – Arkansas – $3,000
Last Week: Goose Egg
Has 1 reception for 24 yards and a TD through 4 games. I wouldn’t start him.

Jon Davis – Illinois – $2,750
Last Game: 1 Rec. 8 Yards – 12 Rushing Yards
Is a very interesting option because he has gotten 5 carries out of the backfield this year. Has 7 total receptions in 3 games which isn’t too bad either.

Arthur Lynch – Georgia – $2,750
Last Game: 4 Rec. 85 Yards 1 TD
Is a really good option because he’s been getting looks all season and Georgia throws the ball a lot. Very good value for the price.

Evan Engram – Ole Miss – $2,750
Last Game: 4 Rec. 44 Yards 1 TD
Has been great this season for Ole Miss and is another good play in daily leagues.

O.J. Howard – Alabama – $2,750
Last Game: 3 Rec. 38 Yards
Has become a weapon in the Alabama passing game catching 3 passes in each of the last two games.  Some decent value here as he will probably find the endzone soon.
